"I Changed" - a poem from Yemen

They ask what changed in me
And I don’t know who I am from the beginning
After studying, attending and letting myself go
I knew
How to talk
What to keep
Before there was confidence
But now there is more and feelings and passion
Before I didn’t know my way alone
Cheer up
Now I know how to walk and jails door is broken
My time in the past didn’t know the timing
Today there are no doubts or thoughts
Forgiveness is my nature
And anger from my calmness
Goes mad
I will hold my name up
And show off my capabilities and faith
With my warm heart
A woman in all means
Symbol of creativity and arts
