Spring Forward is the energising programme that boosts people on the way up.
Spring Forward is a career development programme which is an effective next step for people who’ve previously participated in the Springboard or Navigator programmes. It is also effective as stand-alone development programme for people newly in a management role or who are approaching a management role.
Who is it designed for ?
Spring Forward is for men and women who are:
- new to management
- considering a move into a management or leadership role

For employers, it reduces the time taken for people to settle into a management role, improves their work performance, gives newly promoted managers the skills and confidence in adapting to their new role and supports people in considering a management role.
What does the programme consist of?
Spring Forward is a grounded two to three month programme, consisting of four tried, tested and profoundly effective elements:

Spring Forward was part of a stepped approach to learning and development at Hammersmith and Fulham. It is a key learning and development building block that works and is well regarded by past participants and their managers. The organisation benefits from the package via improved efficiency, improved service delivery to a diverse group of clients and improving the potential of those attending the programme to meet the new work demands such as multi-agency working.

An unexpected approach, but with uplifting and energising results for me personally. Never before have I felt so revitalised after attending a course.
Amanda Rickwood, Evaluation Officer, Cambridgeshire Constabulary

It has given me options and choices, I now have a clear picture of where I am going and I feel confident about mapping a route that will get me there.
Rosemary Burns, Communications & Liaison Manager, Inland Revenue
Spring Forward had topics and exercises that I could identify and join in fully. I suspect, as a man, that other men will find Spring Forward very rewarding, but quite tough in its expectations to express one’s self and feelings.
