Flowers, Frocks and Fascinators!!!
Springboard and Devon and Cornwall Police
Devon and Cornwall Police's latest Springboard course has just finished in a 'flourish' of Flowers, Frocks and Fascinators – a theme picked by the group for workshop four to mark their celebrations of completing the course.
This fantastic programme was held in the picturesque setting of Roadford Lake in Devon, which proved to be a great inspirational place to learn.
Even though we are facing times of financial challenge, it is still possible to run cost effective courses – even at somewhere as great as Roadford Lake. With a bit of creativity and some great negotiations it was possible to run this course very cost effectively. Ideas such as, different home groups bringing in cakes for coffee breaks on each workshop, picnics around the lake for lunch and negotiations for free teas and coffee's all made it possible to run this programme, without anything left wanting.
It is hoped with these ideas we can continue to run Springboard courses in Devon and Cornwall Police – the challenge continues, but this is the reason why we should continue to try to meet that challenge:
