How we started

Founded in 1988, when Liz Willis and Jenny Daisley (already acknowledged trail blazers in the field of women's development training) came together to develop a women's development programme for the BBC which was to be quite unlike anything that had gone before. This programme proved to be so successful, it evolved into the award-winning Springboard Women's Development Programme that is now delivered worldwide.

Liz and Jenny have devoted their careers to helping other women develop themselves in the workplace. They are passionate about their work and about making it as accessible to as many women as possible, regardless of their circumstances.

Liz and Jenny are keeping their work going through a wonderfully diverse network of skilled professional trainers, delivering Springboard Consultancy courses around the world, and through the hard work and dedication of the Springboard Consultancy team, lead by Sue Keane and Sue Hewitt.

Our courses have a real impact around the world.

With a client list as long as your arm, we are constantly listening to what people and organisations need, delving into their seemingly bottomless kitbag of ideas and unparalleled experience and developing new materials which hit the spot – for women, men and their employers - around the world.

Their overall objective is to enable women to participate more fully in the workplace and as active citizens in their countries. Having worked their way up from the bottom of organisations, they have personally encountered many of the issues that are raised by course participants, so they bring the perfect blend of empathy and objectivity to their work.

The prestigious National Training Award and a 'European Woman of Achievement Award' are just two of several awards they have deservedly gained in recognition of their extraordinary contribution.
