Springboard is tried and tested in the police context, has an impact on women in the police and delivers results. It is a key component in achieving the Gender Agenda. I have no hesitation in recommending it throughout the police service.

My life since Springboard has gone ahead in leaps and bounds - everything is not just good but - great! Work has become manageable; I’ve started a Uni course by correspondence and taken up belly dancing classes. For the first time in years I have specific goals and am thoroughly enjoying life, so thank you for your guidance and inspiration.
Michelle Chiappara, QBuild - Department of Public Works, Australia
Springboard Consultancy programmes are highly relevant to the NHS today, as it goes through a major period of change. The programmes are cost effective as they are designed for high volume attendance, yet the end result is that individuals feel they have attended a programme designed just for them - incredible!
The Springboard and Spring Forward programmes meet the organisation's and individual's needs on several levels by developing the individual, (who then becomes more effective at work) and encouraging individuals to resolve domestic issues that may be impacting on their work performance.
Many of the lessons I learnt from these programmes I have put into play, benefiting me, my employer and my family - both now and in the future. I can thoroughly recommend them for any NHS Trust.’

This course has saved my sanity. The day before the course I was going to resign because of certain situations at work and even difficulties with family. Now I am managing to cope with all of this more assertively and change myself, not other people and work is fantastic. A truly inspiring course.’

I have had a wonderful time on Springboard. I read it could change lives and thought, negatively, well that won't be mine! Now I think positively and know more what I want and how to get there. I believe everyone who was there has found it a truly life-changing experience.

The course has helped me to re-evaluate myself and helped in a life-changing decision that I would not have taken otherwise. I now have the confidence to ask for things that I would never normally ask. I think all women should do this course as it brings out their potential and could make their dreams a reality.

It empowers an individual to change themselves. It motivates women to do something about the problems they face by changing themselves and how they relate. Made me believe that the power is within ME and not in others.’

I would recommend this course to anybody who is lucky enough to have access to it. It has already helped me immensely with both work and personal subjects in such a short space of time. I still have a way to go yet but it has kick-started my motivation and I will still work towards my goals with help from the book.

No guarantees were made at the start of the Springboard programme that careers would automatically be affected by undertaking the programme, indeed some women attend the programme for more personal reasons, never-the-less there has been a good deal of achievement that is work-related.
Not only have the individuals benefitted from gaining extra increments, upgrades and qualifications, but the departments and University have benefitted as can be seen by the wide range of additional responsibilities that the women have assumed since attending the programme. 46% have received extra payments, 20% have been upgraded, 39% are undertaking or have taken further qualifications, 61% have assumed additional responsibilities and 82% have had remarks made about other positive outcomes.
Debbie Greenwood, University of Leeds, UK
It is the perfect training session that every woman should undertake.
